Saint Finbar Community Stewardship
For seventy years the Catholic Community of Saint Finbar has been a beacon of hope and a place of faith for citizens of Burbank and our greater area. Throughout the parish’s storied history, the members of our community have been at the forefront of Christian service, community service and social justice. Saint Finbar Church is the model of a diverse and vibrant faith community of tomorrow living its mission to the full today.
From our community's humble beginings in the latter days of the Great Depression to our work today in continuing to bring the Good News of Salvation through Jesus Christ to every ear that will hear and every heart that is open to His call, one truth remains constant: Where Keystone meets Olive, people meet Christ.
Saint Finbar Church is known as a welcoming community and one that espouses an "attitude of gratitude" in response to God's mercy and generosity. We ask our community members to prayerfully consider their sacrificial gifts of time, talent and treasure to the community. We are blessed by the many gifts of time and talent. Our expansive ministry programs, led by dedicated and talented community members, are examples of generous gifts of time and talent to God and service to our local community.
Ninety cents of every dollar contributed to Saint Finbar Church remains in our local community to support our worship, ministry and community outreach programs. Sacrificial gifts of treasure can be made in a variety of ways: Contributions to our weekly Offertory collection funds our programs, contributions through our "Blue Envelope" campaign covers the costs of maintaince and restoration of our church and its surroundings, and contributions to our Building on the Keystone plan will help provide for the space needs of our community today and for many years to come.
Saint Finbar Church is the largest and most culturally diverse Catholic faith community in Burbank. We offer a mass schedule that includes Roman Catholic liturgies in three languages –English, Spanish and Vietnamese. Our community’s ethnic and cultural diversity is among its greatest strengths.
To meet the growing needs of our diverse community and enhance our Chritian witness to the greater Burbank community, we welcome your participation and support. Where Keystone meets Olive, people meet Christ. Through your participation and support, the corner of Keystone and Olive will remain the place where faith intersects with hope and the beacon that shines brightly each night from our spire will illuminate the path to God’s love for tomorrow’s generations of adults and children.
Please contact our parish office to become part of our vibrant, Christ-centered community today and share in our bright and promising vision for tomorrow.
