As Director of Operations I enjoy assisting Father Albert and working with all members of our community in building the Kingdom of God at the corner of Keystone and Olive.

As much as the Catholic Community of Saint Finbar has been a keystone in the faith life of the people of Burbank, it has also been the cornerstone of faith for my family and me. In addition to our parish involvements, two of our children have graduated from Saint Finbar School and another will graduate from the school this year.

I'm excited for the future of our community and look forward to helping it become a model Catholic community for the 21 st Century.

Professional Biography

After graduating from the Ancell School of Business at Western Connecticut State University I began my professional career involved in national politics in Washington, DC. During my tenure in the nation's capital I served in a variety of positions including Issues Coordinator of the White House Conference on Small Business, a series of 57 state-level and regional conferences to address the concerns of small businesses. My last assignment before moving to Burbank was a short stint as the speechwriter and chief writer for the Assistant Secretary for Special Education and Rehabilitative Services at the US Department of Education. I believe education is a keystone to opportunity and a cornerstone for development of a rich spiritual life.

I moved to Burbank from Washington, DC and became the Chief Financial Officer of Curb Records and Curb Communications. At the time Curb Records was one of the largest and fastest-growing independent record labels in the country.

Soon after joining the Catholic Community of Saint Finbar in January 1994 I felt God was asking me to focus my efforts on serving Him through service to others. I chose to start a new career in the non-profit world. This change allowed me more time for my parish ministry work and faith activities.

Over the past twelve years God has blessed with a variety of professional opportunities to serve our greater community. I have several years of executive management experience working inside local non-profit organizations as well as experience as a school business administrator and as Director of Technology and Technology Instructor at a private prep school designed specifically to address the learning needs of middle school and high school students who do not perform well in traditional classroom environments.

Most recently before becoming Director of Operations at the Catholic Community of Saint Finbar I served as the Director of Operations at the Glendale-based Child SHARE program that works through local faith communities to find quality foster and adoptive homes for abused kids and as Director of Finance and Administration for the Alex Regional Theatre Board.

Community Activity

Since joining the Saint Finbar community I have served our parish as a Eucharistic Minister, minister to the sick, lector, founder and leader of the parish Respect Life program, religious education teacher, president of the parish Legion of Mary and member of the parish Finance Council. I believe service to God through serviced to others to be a true blessing. As a "volunteer at large" for the archdiocesan Office of Respect Life I enjoyed the opportunity to speak at regional meetings, develop parish level programs and promote the dignity of life through respect for life.

The Catholic Community of Saint Finbar, Today and Tomorrow

Joining the Catholic Community of Saint Finbar was a life changing experience. Today our parish is a special place for worship, friendship and family life. I look forward to serving you and assisting Father Albert in preparing our faith community for the opportunities and challenges of tomorrow.

I pray the intersection of Keystone and Olive will always be a welcoming place for people at a crossroad in life who are seeking to find the love and mercy of God and will always be a cornerstone of faith for the people of our community.
