MINISTER OF THE MONTH

Every month the Catholic Community of St. Finbar honors a minister who gives
of his or her time or talent in an exemplary way. God freely gives gifts to
all of us, and good stewards make wise use of those gifts by in turn sharing
them with others. Our Minister of the Month for June is Ann Myers.

Ann has been in charge of St. Finbar's Liturgical Dance Ministry for 5
years. This is a relatively new ministry and Ann has done such a wonderful
job. It is always a special treat when the Mass is celebrated with these
angel-like dancers. Ann choreographs all the dance routines. But being a
talented and dedicated dancer is only a part of who Ann is. The women who
dance with her in this ministry say that she is so patient and cares so much
for all of them. They love to be around her because she's always fun to work
with and cares so much about them all. For the younger girls in the group,
Ann is "like a big sister and role model" to them. It sounds like Ann is a
beautiful person, inside and out.

When we asked Ann why she continues to serve her parish community, she
responded by saying, "Continuing to serve my parish community is not a
choice to make, it is simply something we do. We are taught by Jesus Christ
to serve one another as we would serve Him. It is up to us to take a look at
the gifts He has given us and decide how to best use them to serve our
community. I am very blessed to have the opportunity to dance with the
amazing and inspirational community of St. Finbar." Congratulations Ann and
God bless you.
