The lector ministry shares a love of God's word with His people.
It is a ministry that proclaims God's love for all of us!
You should have a good speaking voice,
but most importantly feel the call to share God's Good News!
Aside from proclaiming the Word at mass, being a lector opens up lots of
other opportunities for fellowship and prayer.
As representatives of St. Finbar, lectors are often asked to speak at other events,
including city-wide functions.
You will get to meet lots of new parishioners, and people in our community at large as well.
The lector community meets twice a year for a free lunch!
At the luncheons, you will meet new faces and learn names of those faces already familiar.
You will come together in prayer to strengthen our ministry of God's Word.
